The Formation of the United Democratic Front (UDF) was a watershed moment in our
struggle for democracy, non-racialism, non-sexism, and nation-building. The purpose of UDF@40 is to celebrate its achievements and use its legacy to defend and deepen South Africa’s democracy. Important achievements of the UDF include non-racialism, worker unity and the expansive organization of South Africans behind a shared vision of a united South Africa
